Disney

I am a big Disney fan and I have dedicated this page for Disney (except the MMC who I have dedicated a seperate page for). I would love to go to Disneyland and Walt Disney World more than anywhere else in the whole wide world. The man who created Disney including Disneyland and WDW is Walt Disney.

Walt Disney

Walt Disney was the man behind the magic, the dreamer behind the dreams. Walt Disney created Disneyland and Walt Disney World which are both the happiest place on Earth, he also created the Disney characters, the Disney movies and cartoons, and infact he created everything Disney. Disneyland was Walt Disney's magical dream come to life, Walt Disney dreamed of a land where all those wonderful Disney magic you see on TV and at the cinema came to life and he believed "If you can dream it, you can do it." and that's exactly what Disneyland was. Walt Disney wanted a land where the young and old, the parents and children could all have fun together. A magical land where every kids most wonderful dreams would come to life, where they could flyaway with Peter Pan over moonlit London, soar up into the sky on the back of Dumbo, enter Alice's nonsensical Wonderland, and meet face to face with their favorite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto... It would be a place where we could travel to the future and fly to the moon in Tomorrowland, and travel back to the turn of the century in Main Street U.S.A. All these wonderful dreams and ideas Walt Disney had, he brought to life. He opened Disneyland to the public on July 17th, 1955 in Anaheim, CA and read his dedication speech "To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past... and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America... with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world." Walt Disney also said "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world." and he continously added new attractions to Disneyland.

Disneyland

Disneyland was created by Walt Disney and opened by Walt Disney on July 17th, 1955 in Anaheim, CA. Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth and consists of (1) Main Street U.S.A where we can travel back to the turn of the century and take a ride on a horse-drawn streetcar, this is also the place where many of Disneyland's parades take place. (2) Fantasyland where we can fly away with Peter Pan over moonlit London, walk thru Sleeping Beauty's castle, soar up into the sky on the back of Dumbo, enter Alice's nonsensical Wonderland, bobsled down the Matterhorn, and enjoy the spectacular boat ride "It's A Small World" where we take a musical trip around the world - this was originally created by Walt Disney for the 1964 New York World's Fair and is a symbol of worldwide peace and harmony. (3) Tomorrowland where we can travel to the future and ride in submarines and starships that take us from ocean depths to outer space, and zoom into distant galaxies on Space Mountain. (4) Adventureland which is home to the Enchanted Tiki Show and where we can enter the Swiss Family Treehouse. (5) Frontierland where we travel back to the American West and ride the Mark Twain steamboat and see the nighttime spectacular - Fantasmic. (6) Critter Country where you get to meet all sorts of critters and take 5 storey plunges on Splash Mountain. (7) Mickey's Toontown which is home to all our favorite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto... (8) New Orleans Square where the pirates of the Caribbean will shiver your timbers, where you can eat southern food and listen to southern jazz at the French Quarters. They are all so very wonderful and my favorites include Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown, Tomorrowland...

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World was created by Walt Disney and opened by Roy.O.Disney (Walt Disney's brother) on October 1st, 1971 in Lake Buena Vista, FL. WDW is also the happiest place on Earth and is as large as San Francisco (or twice the size of Manhattan). WDW  has 4 theme parks which are (1) the Magic Kingdom which is made up of Main Street U.S.A, Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, and Mickey's Toontown Fair. In Main Street U.S.A you get to travel back to the turn of the century and ride horse drawn vehicles and watch some wonderful parades and fireworks. In Fantasyland you get to fly away with Peter Pan over moonlit London, walk thru Cinderella's castle, ride Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, soar up into the sky onthe back of Dumbo, and enjoy the spectacular boat ride "It's A Small World" where we take a musical trip around the world. In Liberty Square you get to enter the Hall of Presidents and ride across the Rivers of America in a paddleboat and take a tour with Davy Crockett's buddy. In Frontierland you get to travel back to the American West and travel to Tom Sawyer Island, ride on Splash Mountain and watch the Country Bear jamboree. In Adventureland we get to enter faraway places like the Swiss Family Treehouse and Enchanted Tiki Show. In Tomorrowland you get to travel to the future, ride in submarines and starships which take you from ocean depths to outer space, and zoom into distant galaxies on Space Mountain. The ExtraTERROestrial Alien Encounter takes you on a ride thru the world of Aliens. Mickey's Toontown Fair is like a country fair with all your favorite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto... (2) EPCOT Center where you can travel to the future and travel around the world. You can see tomorrow's technologies and experience cultures from several nations across the globe. EPCOT was the heart of the millenium celebration. EPCOT is made up of Future World and World Showcase. In Future World you can travel to the future, see and touch  tomorrow's technologies, enter a world of imagination, get shrunk down to about 4" in size when you enter Honey I Shrunk The Audience, and enter Spaceship Earth where you can travel thru time inside a 180 foot geosphere and see dazzling scenes of life in the 21st century, within the Spaceship Earth pavilion you get to collect colorful millenium souviniers and leave a legacy. EPCOT is a place where you can even travel back to the time of dinosaurs and enjoy Future World entertainment. In World Showcase you can discover cultural celebrations from 11 nations and enjoy entertainment from around the world, you also get the chance to see Colonial America and have your favorite Disney characters taking you on a musical trip around the world. The Millenium Village Pavilion allows you to travel to over 20 new countries. (3) Disney-MGM studios where you can enter the bright lights of show business, go behind the scenes of the studios, and ride in the ultimate road trip on Rock'n'Roller coaster. Here you can check out the Mulan Parade, see the nighttime spectacular - Fantasmic, meet Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. (4) Disney's Animal Kingdom where you get to explore the unpredictable world of animals where you get to see them in jungles and even in prehistoric times. They are all so very wonderful and my favorites include Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown Fair, Tomorrowland, EPCOT...

Hayley Mills + More

Hayley Mills is one of my favorite actresses. She won the honorary Disney legendary award in 1998 for having starred in many Disney films and winning several academy awards. I have seen several of her movies and loved them all which includes Pollyanna, Parent Trap, In Search Of The Castaways, Summer Magic, The Moon-Spinners, That Darn Cat... My favorites include The Parent Trap, The Moon-Spinners, That Darn Cat...
